Gizem is a journalist, currently living in New York City. She is an Associate Producer and a reporter at Worldfocus, the nightly international news program which airs on PBS (Public Broadcasting Service).
She recently reported feature stories from Turkey for Worldfocus as a correspondent.
Gizem has reported and produced for various international news networks and has also produced independent documentaries. Most recently, Gizem worked as a freelance producer for Reuters TV and Al Jazeera English in New York City, covering the United Nations General Assembly, the financial crisis and local stories with an international angle.
Gizem also worked as an assistant producer for an international affairs news program that aired on CNNTurk in Istanbul, Turkey.
She is fluent in Turkish and holds a Master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
